On Monday Aidan turned 18 months old!! Time sure does fly. We can't believe six months ago we celebrated his first birthday and here we are six months away from his second!! Today he went to the doctor's for his check up and stats. Aidan is doing very well. He is doing everything someone his age should be!
Here are his stats:
Head Circumference: >97%
Height: 34.75 inches >97%
Weight: 28 lbs 75%
He is proportionately large!! The picture we posted is one in the car on the way home from the Observation Deck. Man was he wore out!!
Today we spent an hour and half before lunch at the Observation Deck at the airport. Aidan loves to watch the airplanes. He enjoyed playing in the sand and watching planes. We got to watch Nana's plane land on her trip home from Florida!! Mr. Logan spent most of the time asleep. The rain chased us away so we had our picnic lunch indoors. Andrew and Carrie took so many pictures we had to make a slide show.
Our pool has an annual cook out on Memorial Day. After Aidan woke up from nap we headed to the pool for the first time this year to eat and swim! We started Aidan in the baby pool and then took him in the big pool too. He loved it last year but we did not know what to expect this time around. He still LOVES water!! We had to stop him from just walking straight into the deep end a few times. He loved watching all the people there. Logan chilled in the stroller and was oogled at by ladies of all ages.
Today at church Logan was baptized!! Logan's Godparents traveled all the way from Kentucky to visit with family and share this special day with us. Logan handled the baptism very well, he did not cry when the holy water was poured on his forehead. Big brother Aidan was very quiet while watching. After Mass family and friends came to our house for a cook out. Too bad it was super chilly and rainy!! That did not stop the kids from having fun. A few of those pictures courtesy of Andrew's Dad will be on the next post.
Thanks Matt for the next pics, you're a determined photographer. :-) (Apparently no flash photography is allowed in church...did they tell us?? No, just once the flashes went off and Matt had our camera and had no clue how to turn it off.) So, he kept taking the pictures! :-D
Today we took the boys to a near by farm to pick strawberries. The ones in the grocery store just do not cut it. Logan spent the time in the Ergo asleep. Aidan requested that a baseball we had in the back of the truck HAD to come. So...Andrew, Aidan and baseball picked strawberries. Carrie carried Logan, picked a few and took pictures (until the camera died after the three she took...Boo!) Aidan had a nice time but kept throwing the baseball in the bucket with the berries. However, he REALLY enjoyed eating our stash we picked!! We MUST go back!!
Seeing as we are super busy..the blog postings are back dated...even though the "most recent" entry on here was Apr. 17th, we have added blogs recently that date to April 9th. Just and FYI if you would like to look back that far. :-)
Tonight we celebrated Uncle Matt's Birthday at Carrie's Parents house. Here are a few pics of Uncle Matt and the other kids. Then one of Logan of course...
We have made it to one month old today!! Logan had a weight check and did very well. He weighed in a few oz over 8 lbs! We spoke to the doctor about is purple crying issues and had pretty much on our own figured out what the poor baby needed. Once we got him on a better formula and a few extra things to help him out we have a MUCH happier child. Turns out he was having gas pains, tummy pains, poo pains and reflux pains. Kind of hard to figure out when he can't tell you what he needed. We now can get on a normal well-baby appointment list. Next visit the 2 month check up!!
P.S. Today is Uncle Matt's 30th Birthday!! Happy Birthday Uncle Matt!!
The Rogers' have retired the Jeep. The other year when we went to the beach with Aidan we packed him in the Jeep. Floor to ceiling, door to door and even packed Carrie into the front seat. Knowing very well that we will be making some trips this year we knew we needed more room. So, for the comfort of the boys and the room for packing we purchased a new car. Sorry it has been raining lately so we were not able to take better photos. So for now enjoy the grill!
