Happy Birthday Papa!!

Papa turned 79 on the 27th. Tonight we all met at Carrie's Parent's House to celebrate. Well, here's Papa with his three youngest (Of 6) Grandkids and his 5 Great Grandkids. ( Oh yes and Andrew..someone had to make Aidan stay in the photo.) We had a nice night. Good food and lots of noise! Here's to next years Birthday!

LOVE

Carrie's Grandparents and one of her Aunt's were in from Ohio. Logan had a blast. Tonight he was up past his bed time. He refused to sleep in the pack'n'play but was happy to crash on Aunt Carol.

Finally caught it on tape...

So, Logan was been taking steps for quite some time now. We just can't ever get it on camera. For a while he would only walk if he thought no one was looking. When we would point it out he would fall to the ground immediately and crawl. Last week he finally started letting people pay attention to him. He'll walk across the room nice and steady and then sit down and crawl. As he gets tired he gets the drunken walk happening. Here's a shot from after dinner the other night. Needless to say..he was tired!

28 and 28,000,000,000,000,000 Bubbles

Today is Carrie's Birthday!! She spent the days with the boys. Andrew is Early Man at work and out of the house well before 6am. He came home close to 4 today and brought Carrie roses. Then he got to work making her a Marble Cake.

This morning Aidan felt the need to dump an entire bottle of bubble bath into an empty bath tub. He then proceeded to fill the bubble bath bottle with water and pour it into the tub too. We plugged the drain and saved it for bath time later. Can't waste good bubble bath!! The boys ended up with a super huge bubble bath to play in.

Family Party

Today was Logan's Family Party. We had a great time and it was crazy as usual. The kids got to enjoy the backyard, thanks to the beautiful weather. Roxy enjoyed chasing balls and like normal she was worn out by the end of the night. Logan was a little overwhelmed but did pretty well. He enjoyed going off to quiet areas and playing with toys by himself. He enjoyed his cake. We forget to grab a photo of the smashed piece. Our photos are a little scarce but at least this time we remembered to pick up our own camera! Logan was super tired by present time and can barely be seen in the gift pictures. He was laying across Andrew's lap while the big kids went to town. Thanks for everyone who could make it! We missed those who couldn't be here. Logan went straight to bed after presents. Aidan enjoyed watching the older kids "play rock and roll" aka: Guitar Hero. Cooper also enjoyed the party and every scrap of food he was able to scarf. He's probably a good 5 lbs heavier tonight than this morning. We all had a great time! Thanks again for coming!!

Cousins

Today we went over to Carrie's parents house to visit with family. Carrie's Cousin and his wife and daughter were in town today for a visit. The kids had a blast playig together. Andrew and Carrie left for a short stint to get a few things done on Logan's cake for the big party tomorrow. Carrie needed to make some rice krispie treats for part of the cake. She brought the supplies over and some of the kids and her made them. It seems they had fun, everyone did real well taking turns so everyone had "equal" chances to help out. After they were made they got to make their own treat for dessert. We had a heart, a train, a blob, a star and something else I can't remember. Don't worry we made some treats in a dish to so the adults could enjoy as well. :-) You're never too old for rice krispie treats! Here's a short clip of the kids making the treats. It's always crazy and loud when we get together. Please excuse Carrie's furrowed brow, that's her "concentration" face. :-)

Happy Birthday Logan!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR PRECIOUS LOGAN JOSEPH!!

I know I know every birthday I start that it is amazing how fast time flies. I just can't believe how much they have grown. I think all babies are amazing, kids too. It just seems this one day is extra special.

The scare we had right before Carrie was induced just seems to make everything today even more happy. We know it was a short lived scare because they specialist decided Logan needed to get the heck outta there to have the best chance. All the tests showed him doing as well as possible but was showing decreased blood flow to the placenta and signs of it giving out. He stopped growing too. The tests showed him bigger than he was at birth. Then once he was born we were disclosed that he may not be able to breathe on his own, may not be able to eat on his own, he needed extra tests and extra care.

As it all turns out he was as healthy as a tiny little bitty horse! He passed all his tests with flying colors and was deemed extremely healthy but very little. Our little 5 lb 3 oz baby shrunk to 4lbs 12 oz. Once we got him to where eating was easier for him he gained well. In the beginning it just wore him out too much to nurse effectively.

Now our little tiny weighs in a 18 lbs 7 oz (3%), is 29.25 in tall (50%) and has a nicely large 18.75 in circumference noggin. The Doc says his skinny nature is genetic. Hmm..wonder where he got that from?!

Logan probably eats more than Aidan does now. He never seems to stop only slow down just a tad. He is curious and super active. Logan loves people and interacting with them. He has yet to meet a stranger. (Mom and Dad would prefer at least a little bit of hesitancy) the Doc said he loves that though. It shows a Baby with a lot of self confidence who sees people as just people, nothing scary.

We are so blessed to have our Sweet Logan and are extremely happy to celebrate his First Birthday today!!

A year passing...

Last year it was a hard picture to try and grab and even harder this year. This year's pic was this morning and the bottom photo is from April 24th of last year. A LOT has changed!!

A Visit with Nana and Granpop

This evening we went and had dinner with Nana and Grandpop. The boys had A LOT of FUN. Logan got to show off his new hair cut too. There was a new toy for the boys to play with, A Home Depot workbench. The boys had a BLAST. Aidan really liked to hammer the nails into the bench. It did not take long and he was an old pro. Logan liked it too but was much more low key. Aidan was distracted with the tools so Logan got more time to play trains without Aidan taking over. We ate dinner and then went outside to feed the birds. Aidan was talking about helping Grandpop feed the birds for days prior. Aidan and Logan played a little basketball and the puppies got to play too. Roxy gets a little silly with balls and managed to catch a rebound before it hit the ground. As it turned out she wouldn't let go of the ball because she couldn't. Turns out her teeth got stuck in the basketball and her mouth was stuck wide open. Andrew worked it out for her and of course that did not stop her from wanting to get the ball again. Cooper enjoyed running in a nice big yard. He liked it a little too much. After some crazy loops through the front yard he skidded across the driveway recovered and crashed head on into the hedge that lines the Rogers' driveway. He is "smart" ( I use that word loosely for Coop.) and decided it was time to stop. A little later Carrie noticed Cooper was licking the back side of his leg. Turns out his crash and burn on the driveway skinned his Dorsal Pad pretty good it looked pretty gross and bloody. We got it cleaned up and covered so he wouldn't lick it. The vet said he should be fine but keep neosporin on it and don't let him lick the neopsorin. So, it now is only covered while the goo seeps in and then he'll leave it alone. Goofy dogs!! Logan's First Hair Cut

WOW! What a Big Difference! He looks like such a Big Boy now! Amazing how much difference a hair cut can change your Precious Baby to a Precious Toddler! Well, Part-Time Toddler, he prefers walking when no one is looking. He covers anywhere from 4-9 steps the moment you cheer or look too closely he sits down and crawls! Sneaky Little Booger! 2 more days until the BIG ONE!!

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter! The boys has a FANTASTIC Day!! They woke up and found what they Easter Bunny left them and were excited..OK well Aidan more than Logan. Logan did enjoy a nice cookies and cream bunny after Church. Aidan ate his weight in jelly beans today. It's a wonder he can even function! The boys behaved very nicely in Church. Afterwards Nana and Grandpop came over for a nice visit. They boys got some neat Thomas pail and shovel, some trains, clothes and candy! We then headed to Carrie's Grandparents. Sam and Aaron hid eggs for an Easter Egg Hunt for the boys. Logan got one egg and was fine. Aidan enjoyed finding all the others. We then spent the afternoon in Meme and Papa's back yard. What a pretty day, the pollen was out but not too bad. Aidan fell asleep on the way home and slept the next 14 hours. Logan hit the sack early that day but not quite like Aidan.
