Merry Christmas!!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Ours could have been better. Christmas Eve Carrie knocked the lap top off the kitchen counter onto her foot. It swelled very quick and turned a very bright blue color. So, we missed church due to her mishap it conveniently happened a half hour before we needed to leave. Aidan has been a little fussy and we are not sure why. Aidan was very happy to see his Christmas gifts from Santa. He was so excited when it all clicked. We took some video that we need to post but for now we have our still pictures. Aidan ate some coffee cake for breakfast, we then had family come visit and ate egg casserole. Aidan was ready for his nap like clockwork and said good bye to our guests and headed up to bed. He did not sleep long, apparently the Holiday breakfast was too heavy for his tummy and woke up after he got sick all over himself and his bed. We spent the day cleaning and airing out his stinky bedroom. He was fine after, we just were cautious with what he fed him. We then went to Carrie's Grandparents to see all of her family that are local. He got to see all 6 of his cousins and the Aunts and Uncle to go with them! He had a blast running around Meme and Papa's yard with the big kids. He has not been walking in the yard much so the uneven ground made him tumble a good bit. We were all happy to go home and try and get some sleep.

Baby brother..

Andrew and Carrie here. We have been going to the routine OB check ups. Baby boy looks good, had a nice strong heart beat, been active for quite some time, Carrie's belly is growing, she's gaining weight and blood pressure looks good. We can't ask for it to be any better!! We finally decided on a name for our second little boy. Logan Joseph. We ordered him his stocking and got in time for Christmas. Our mantle is pretty full now. We are working on clearing out our old guest room to make room for him. We've been slower than we would like to be in this. However, it is a priority. We will keep updating the pregnancy on here so please keep checking!!

First Hair Cut

So, the torture continues. Yesterday, my parents made me sit with Santa. Today they tried to take my pacifier away and get my hair cut!! I am sick of this. I think they are really trying to torture me. I screamed for 1.5 hours of a "nap" this morning. (Angry screaming) So, they took me to get my hair cut. The lady seemed nice and Dad blew bubbles, but Mom made me sit in a strange chair all by myself. I did not like that I cried and reached for Mom, giggle at the bubbles Dad blew and whimpered while the strange lady cut my hair. Mom and Dad bought me Chic Fila for lunch and even got me a vanilla milk shake!! Then they put me to nap without my pacifier again. After I screamed again for 45 minutes straight they gave it back. I fell asleep the moment I gave it a suck. So, Mom and Dad told me I win for now and we'll try again later. Anyways, enjoy the pictures. They are a couple of days after I got my hair cut. I look like such a big boy!!

Santa Claus

Dad took a long lunch today and we went down to the mall. We waited in line for an hour. I was very patient and decided not to show off my walking skills but to crawl all over the mall floor and spin the wheels of not just my stroller, the other people's in line too!! Which is really fun when the kid is in the stroller too!! I tried to make some mad dashes out into the mall so Mom and Dad thought I would handle Santa pretty well. Man I am not sure about that guy...I wouldn't let go of Mom...so you'll see how we had to take the picture! Dad was by the camera trying to make me smile...It was a no go!

Walking Man!

Hey Guys! I am starting to get the hang of this walking thing, well I more run. It's taken me since right before my birthday, but I am doing much better. If I go slower I have good balance however, I have no time for that I am a speed demon! Dad took a little video of me this morning doing a little cruise, this first time he was able to catch it on video too! I walk all around downstairs I only crawl when I am pushing a toy that rolls. I am so proud of myself and giggle with delight. Boy it sure does tire me out and I let Mom and Dad know when I am ready for a nap to recharge me!

It's A....

Today we went to the OB to check up on baby #2. We had our 20 week ultrasound. I am 19 weeks and baby is measuring 19 weeks and 2 days. Can't be any more perfect!! Baby's heart, brain, kidneys, cord, stomach, bladder, facial structures etc. look great!! Baby is almost folded in half with his hands in his face and his feet over his head. :-) Aidan will be getting himself a little brother!! It's a Boy!! We are so very happy and excited to meet him. We're almost halfway there!! Please enjoy a few of the ultrasounds, our favorites are the 3D.

Great Grandparents Crase

My Great Grandparents Crase came down for a visit. We got to see them a good bit. Tonight, however was there last night here before driving back to Ohio. We went over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. I got to play with my cousins. It was a lot of fun. My cousin Tabitha and I have a thing for dog water. She snuck away and had a hay day! There is a picture of the aftermath and the culprit is the naked baby. :-) My cousin Ansley was very nice to share her cereal with us babies. It was very tasty. We then all tried to take a picture with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. You can see from the pictures that is a difficult feat. We all were very tired by the time we were done. It was so great to see them and I sure had a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy the slide show.

The Birthday Bash!

Today I had my Big Birthday Bash will all of my local family and a few friends. We ate Cincinnati Chili, birthday cake, cupcakes and ice cream. Mom made me a Rocket cake from my most favorite show The Little Einsteins. I really like the music they play and helping Rocket blast off. My house sure was loud for a few hours. I wasn't sure what to think when they sang "Happy Birthday!" to me. I enjoyed eating cake and playing with my toys. I wasn't to interested in opening the presents, but once they were unwrapped I liked them a lot! Here are some pictures from the party and I will post two more shortly.

My First Thanksgiving

Last year I missed Thanksgiving by 3 days!! Today Mom decorated my Rocket cake for my party tomorrow. She had a little trouble with the icing bags tearing and popping. Needless to say she did not make it to Nana and Grandpop's for a visit. She stayed home smearing red icing everywhere. Dad and I went for a visit with Nana, Grandpop and Uncle Phil. I pushed around the Lion walking toy most of the time. Dad says I scared poor Gracie a good bit too. She is still recovering from her crazy illnesses. I just kept her on her toes! When we got back home Mom was still working on the cake. Dad and I saw some fire engines on the way home and it turns out they were driving through our neighborhood going to a nearby dog kennel. We watched them drive around from our back yard. We saw quite a few fire trucks, rescue trucks, an ambulance and a few more fire related vehicles. They did not stay too long so everything must have been OK. Mom finally finished the cake and we had to go to Meme and Papa's for dinner. We got there an hour and the minutes late!! (And Mom still had cupcakes to ice when we got home.) We had beef tenderloin and the works for dinner. I ate on the go. I would take a few bites of food and go play with my cousins when hunger rose again I went back to Mom and Dad for more. I played with Tabitha and the others. Mostly though I pushed my Tonka truck around because Mom and Dad let me bring it!! All the kids really like it. Mom has made a very short slide show of just a few pictures. The first two are of my cake!! I can't wait to eat it tomorrow!!

One Year Old

Today I am One Year Old...at least that is what my parents say. I got to open presents before breakfast. Mom made me banana bread muffins for breakfast too!! I had a good day today. Mom and Dad took me to get a nice new pair of shoes too! This past Saturday I started taking steps, only Grandma saw! I showed Mom and Dad last night for sure! I got to the doctor tomorrow for my check up. Mom and Dad will put this information in this posting too. Tonight I had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Grandpop, Meme, Papa, Uncle Matt and Uncle Phil came over to eat too!! I got to open a few more presents. Mom has made a quick slide show of pictures from this morning to this evening for you to enjoy. I had a great day and really did not feel like napping a lot. My Dad is staying home with me all week and I don't have time to nap when he is around!!

Talking

Aidan's Mom here. It sure seems today that Aidan was making an attempt to say his name. He was watching pictures on our digital frame. (Most are pictures of him!) So, I took a video purposely of the carpet to try and get him talking. If he sees you videoing him he wants the camera. :-) This way Andrew was able to hear it when he got home from work.

Snow in NC??!!

I am told that we don't usually get snow around here..whatever that is. However, we got it on the day of my baptism and again this morning!! So, Mom got me out of bed and got a coat and hat on me. When Dad came down stairs we went outside and there was white stuff all over...well..a good dusting my parents say! Mom asks that you please excuse her picture...it was before 7am. :-) My dogs liked walking around in the snow too! I am not too sure what the big deal is though.

Update

Well, I am crawling pretty fast now and cruising all over the furniture. Back in October I had a nice surge of teething. I got 4 teeth between the 15th and 18th. Mom and Dad say I handled it pretty well. Today Mom noticed yet another tooth. My parents were thinking I would only have the three bottom teeth for my first birthday. I sure surprised them!! I can now bite with the best of them!! I really like to play with my toys while standing on my own too. I have not taken any steps yet though!

So, I really like to get into the downstairs bathroom cabinet if my parents leave the door open. This morning Mom and Dad left the door open. My Mom took a short video of me to let everyone know why our toilet paper might be covered in dog hair at times!

Talking at Lunch

So, I am make all sorts of sounds. Today after lunch Dad took a quick video of the sounds I make, you can here my Nana in the background...(Dad is talking to her on the phone...I don't think she knows you don't have to yell when you talk on the phone.)

Riding my Truck

Well, Mom and Dad got me a really neat Tonka truck a while back. I have recently been walking behind it. Well, my friend Chandler was over the other day and I saw him ride it!! So, tonight Dad helped me out and as you can see Dad, Roxy and I really got a kick out of it. Enjoy this video!! (I apologize Blogger won't show it rotated like it is on our computer!!)

Happy Halloween!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Tonight was my first Halloween!! I got to see Grandma, Grandpa, Nana and Grandpop tonight!! Mom and Dad put this horribly annoying outfit on me. I really did not enjoy it, but I did like watching everyone who came to my door. I was very hot in my outfit so we spent most of the night outside to keep me cool. I visited a couple of my neighbor's houses to trick or treat. We had a pretty good time, again...we have a quick slide show!! Enjoy!!

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight Mom, Dad and I carved my pumpkin for Halloween. They let me stick my hands in the goo. I was not too sure about that. It was more fun for me to try and jimmy open the coat closet. Mom showed me what my pumpkin looked like when they were done and I wasn't very impressed. We posed for some pictures and my parents have made a little slide show since they would be too many to post up here. Enjoy!!

NC State Fair

Dad took today off of work and he told me we were going to the NC State Fair! I had no clue what that meant!! After my morning nap Mom and Dad packed me in the Jeep and we made our trip. We ate lunch there I had my first hot dog which I ate in the form of a corn dog. That was pretty tasty. I ate corn dog, french fries, milk, some fruit (from home) and my first taste of lemonade!! I really enjoyed eating all of those foods. After we ate lunch Mom and Dad fed me some funnel cake too! I really really liked that!! There were so many people to watch, so many new noises and sights to see. I spent most of the time chillin' in my stroller just taking it in. Mom and Dad took me to see the livestock, once I realized they were real animals I could not take my eyes off of them! Mom and Dad let me have a taste of cotton candy too!! Mom and Dad's motto for today was, "When in Rome.." I had a really nice time and was pooped out on the walk back to the car. Mom and Dad have made a slide show for everyone of the better pictures we took today!!

Mom and Dad got me some new teething biscuits. I really had a nice time gnawing on one today. I even smeared it ALL over my face!! Then I was hammed it up for Mom.. You can also see some of my new teeth!!

Isabelle

Today my neighbor and friend Isabelle stopped by for an hour or so. I woke up from my nap and Mom said I had a guest. We went downstairs and there she was Isabelle!! She was waiting for me sitting in my old bouncer seat!! I was very excited to see her! Mom only got one shot of us together and then I decided I wanted to see what her eyes felt like. However, Mom wouldn't let me stick my finger in them. Nuts...

Tupperware

I have found the most fun toys around!! All the other toys just do not compare. These toys my parents keep in the kitchen. I am not sure why they do, but I just help myself into the cabinet!

Mom and I took a trip over to Grandma's today and spent a few hours with my Cousins. Here are a few pictures of us together. Notice us younger ones stick together...for the most part. Sorry the pictures are so small, but Mom took quite a few. The smaller they are the more you can post!!

Spaghetti Mohawk

So, tonight I felt the need to smear my spaghetti sauce in my hair. Mom wiped it out the best she could, but it still left some spaghetti sauce hair gel. Here is the end product. Yum!! Spaghetti scented hair products!!

Most of you know I have two dogs Cooper and Roxy. They like me pretty well. My Dad was able to get a few shots of me playing in the kitchen with Roxy watching close by.

10 Months Old

Today I am 10 months old. Mom took some pictures of me finishing up my milk. I am such a big boy now!!

Hives AGAIN!!?!!

Well, today Mom and I went shopping. She picked up some new type foods for me to try. It was a prepackaged chicken noodle soup made for kids! She thought it would be easy for a meal that did not get planned. Just to have on hand when need be. Well, we got back home and it was lunch time!! A perfect time to try one for a quick meal. I loved it. It was so tasty I could not stop eating it! Then all of a sudden my neck and face got itchy, my arms, my hands and fingers too!! Sure enough every where I smeared the food on me I had itchy hives!! Mom rushed for the benedryl. She said she was scared the hives would be in my mouth and throat. Dad got a wash cloth and started to wipe me down to get any soup residue off!! Within a few minutes the hives started going down. Mom and Dad guess the hives were from contact. My parents were scared that once my body started processing the food that the hives would come back all over my body. Well, we were lucky no hives yet!! So, Mom and Dad said even though I really liked the soup I couldn't have any more of those things!! They took a few pictures too just to keep a record.

Baby #2

Well, today we had our first OB appointment for Baby #2. The baby looks good and is measuring right at 8 weeks today. That gives us a due date of April 27, 2009. We're excited and overwhelmed. The heart beat was strong and we got a quick snap shot of our little blog. We'll go back in two weeks to review blood work and look at the baby again to make sure they are growing. So, until Oct. 1!! Enjoy the picture of our blob!!

Stomach Bug

This is Aidan's Mommy and Daddy here. Mr. Aidan is currently out of commission for blogging. The past couple of days he has not been feeling well. We seem to have some type of stomach bug that makes lots of messy diapers. Aidan has not been eating much and finally got his appetite back which his tummy did not take to very well. We spent an afternoon disinfecting his high chair. He seems to be feeling a little better Saturday however, he then fell and hit his head. He got very upset and got sick all over himself and Mommy. Later on at bed time he took a bottle from Daddy and ate too much and got yet another bath today!! We're hoping he is now on the mend today. We did not go to church to make sure he gets plenty of rest and not too much excitement. We have taken him on walks in the evening so he gets a chance to go outside and be distracted from the sick house. Today has been much better. We are keeping our fingers crossed. Here are a couple picks of him napping. (Note: His bumper is currently in the washing machine.)
