Hand Me Downs!

Had to grab a shot of Logan in these overalls from Aunt Luanne. So here he is almost 18 months old. SUPER CUTE!!!!
Here is Aidan wearing them at 8.5 months old! Super Cute too!
So funny even though they were born in different seasons we get to use a lot of the same clothes due to the drastic size difference between them. :-)

Aidan's Super Letters

One of the Boys new favorite shows is on PBS called, "Super Why." It's a phonics and reading show. Aidan already loves letters and numbers beyond belief. This show is his constant request. (Thank Goodness for DVR.) This morning he was pulling out his "Super Letters." He grouped the all together. I also got a little clip of him in the process of organizing and choosing his super letters. He is always talking and his dialouge with himself always makes us smile. He mostly pretends he is on the TV show asking all the questions and answering them too.

Getting Big!!

Logan is getting so big! We can't believe he is almost 18 months old! He has recently started confiscating Aidan's whole apples and snacking on them himself. He is very proud when he does it too. He is starting to say a few more works but mostly prefers his growling and yelling noises.
Here's a video clip of him at lunchtime. Andrew had put Aidan down for nap and Logan had been making noises for Andrew to come back. He's quite the silly man. We tried to get him to say some word and he just won't appease. His newest thing is to pretend sneeze so you can say, "Bless you Logan." He'll do this for almost half and hour some days but not for the camera!

Breakfast

The Boys have their own table and we usually keep it in the toy room. However, every so often there is a request to eat at it. This morning they both wanted to eat breakfast at it. Logan really enjoys doing the "Big Boy" things. Can you tell?

The Morning of Logan

Today was a school day for Aidan. Logan and I dropped him off and then headed to get the truck inpsected. We dropped the truck off and hiked over to the grocery store to pick up a few things. The plan was to do this come back the truck be almost ready and then hit the library for Rhyme Time with a friend. Hahahahaha...yeah right. Apparently, the two cars being worked on were there for what seemed like overhauls. Over an hour later we the truck was ALMOST ready. Logan ran amuck around the auto place, then we hauled butt into the car and towards the library. Rhyme Time is a popular event that you have to get a "ticket" for and need to be early. The library parking is HORRID for a crowd. We had a heck of a time finding a parking spot and then I wasn't quite sure exactly where to go. There was an older lady barking at her two year old to hurry up and she got the last ticket. REALLY??! The woman was also rather rude to the lady doing the ticket head count and she stormed off into Rhyme Time. She looked at me like "WHOA?!" and said,"Just go on in." My response was, "Thank you thank you thank you..." We walked in and they had already started but to Logan it did not matter. He had a blast. A room full of other kids, singing, books, bubbles and dancing. He LOVED IT!! He ran around grinning from ear to ear. He danced with the other kiddos and would periodically come running back to me and jumping on my lap. It was a 30 minute session and was over in a blink of an eye. My friend and I talked and decided to head over to a local park to extend the play date for the Boys. Logan and I then left the park after climging, swinging and sliding. We hit every red light possible and had to HAUL to pick Aidan up from school. He was the second to last two year old to be picked up. I felt rotten. Luckily, Aidan did not seem to mind. Logan was exhausted from his morning out and so was I. It was nice to give Logan something special to do while he is the only one with me. It won't be too long before that changes so we need to make the most of it!!

26 weeks

We haven't posted a belly shot in a while. Here it is. 26 weeks. Hoping to be more frequent on updates and belly shots. Baby Daniel is a fantastic little one. He loves to move and wiggle. The braxton hicks are still a daily occurence. So, let's hope that means with all that practice perhaps Baby Daniel can be born before Christmas so we can most definitely be home for it! Sounds good right??! We'll keep on dreaming... So, here's the belly nearing the end of the second trimester...

Little Man

I just couldn't resist getting a picture of Logan on the couch this morning. He is turning into such a Little Man. The second picture he decided to "cheese" for me. His manuerisms lately always keep us entertained. (Pictures are a little blurry still trying to adapt to this new camera...)

Public Safety Day

It's that time of year again! Time for the one of the local fire departments to host the Annual Public Safety Day. Andrew and I had a blast last year. Aidan warmed up to the crowd. Logan went along for the ride. This year the kiddo's had a lot of fun. Aidan was excited to go and Logan just sat back and absorbed it all. There were not as many vendors as last year and it wasn't nearly as crowded. Here's hoping next year will be a bit better for everyone. It was still a fun time. This year we missed the helicopter landing (again) but did get to actually see it and see it leave! Aidan was timid of the helicopter. We think he was afraid if he sat in it that he would have to leave in it. He's not a fan of sitting in things, like the coin operated cars. He likes to check them out but DO NOT put a quarter in it or he flips. Who knows?!? Logan had no problem sitting in the cock pit. He also took the liberty to run like a mad men through the baseball field. Which is understandable since we had him in the stroller a good bit. Both Boys enjoyed the slide and bounce house though. The event is "free" (since we pay tax dollars to them)and a local church offered free drinks, hot dogs, pop corn, snow cones for everyone. (they did the same last year too.) It's a really fun things to see and take part of. We have a little collage of a few pictures. Oh yes, Aidan actually participated in the face painting this year....well, he's not big on strangers touching him (who could blame him!) but he did get a basketball painted on his forearm. He was so proud! We also have a little video of the Boys sliding on the blow up slide.

Splashground Fun

Today we headed to the Splashground with a friend of mine and her precious little one. We have only in the past week discovered the wonders of it. Well, Wednesday resulted in us leaving the house late and then Aidan having a stand off in the bathroom. The wonderful Public Big Potty Fears. This time (compared to Monday at the mall) I kept my cool (even though I was SUPER frustrated..he would rather pee his pants than use a Big Potty at certain places...more so if they don't have a handle to flush..stupid autoflush) and after a stand off of over 30 minutes he peed in the potty so we could go out to the pool. Poor Logan sat in the stroller and screamed while a complete stranger (with a Son..) told me how that is where they were a year ago. She was very kind and Aidan was more than willing to go into a stall with the Boy to see how the potty flushed. Aidan actually thought he was going to get to potty with this Boy. (HAHA YEAH RIGHT.) I thanked her for her help and understanding. My friend called to check on us because she saw us pull up too. She then joined us in the locker room and her and her Kiddo kept Logan company. Sooooo..back to today. Aidan was ready and willing to hit the potty because he had done it there before!!! YAAY! Andrew also took over potty duties while we were there too. Andrew got to see Aidan's reactions to another man using a urinal. "Look Daddy he's using a stand up potty!!!!!" Luckily, the man had kids and told Andrew he remembered the freak outs over public potties. The splashground is super cool it's a water playground pretty much. There is also a wading pool probably the biggest we've seen and a covered outdoor pool. It was a great day. We got a few pictures and a couple video clips of the Boys in the splash ground. It was a super nice day!

25 weeks and a couple days

Andrew took vacation for today and tomorrow. We decided since he's been working so much and we were out of town last weekend that we needed a family staycation. I headed to the OB for a routine check up while Andrew did breakfast with the Boys and dropped Aidan off at school. Things with Daniel are going well. He has a nice beautiful strong heart beat. I am pretty sure he has turned from the transverse position and the OB seemed to agree. My Belly measures right on the money. So far so good, just waiting to hear back on my lastest anti-body screen. The last one came back positive (as normal) but yet again when they tried to get a concentration were unable to get one (because it is SOOOO low). Whew...if I have to be positive for this antibody then this is the way I want it, so low they can't get a reading when they spin it out. Things are looking good. I now instead of monthly appointments will be going every 3 weeks. Next appointment is the wonderful fasting glucola test to make sure I am not developing gestational diabetes. It's a nice "Welcome to the Final Trimester". Eek! We don't have anything nearly ready or in order to be on the Third Trimester!! I am coming to accept that things may not be as ready as I would have originally liked but we will make it work. There is only so much you can do when you are chasing after two little ones, having Braxton Hicks Contractions for quite some time now and your Husband works long hours. I am not complaining but some days it seems very overwhelming. BUT, then there are the days I feel as if we could conquer the world. Only to find the next day that I am completely exhausted from "conquering the world". :-D Moderation has never been a strong point for me. I am slowly trying to get a grasp on a little here, a little there. :-)

Another Mr. Independent

Don't know how on earth with 2 such different Boys we managed to get to super independent ones. Logan is like Aidan in this aspect he has to do it himself!! So here is our Proud Big Boy feeding himself his yogurt at breakfast this morning.

Typical Evening...well if it is not still triple digit heat..

The days have cooled slightly so we have been making use of the treeless backyard. When Andrew gets home from work we let the Boys go run amuck until dinner is ready. If dinner is ready early then they eat and we go out and play until close to bedtime. Here are some shots from tonight. Everyone enjoys being outside. Andrew and Carrie are looking forward to and welcome some fall temperatures. Plus we have a fire pit (for over a year now) that we have yet to use. Perhaps we can this fall after the Boys hit the hay! (High hopes :-) )
Aidan prefers golfing in the backyard. We have lots quite a few balls over the wooden fence and they have been sacrificed we think by the neighbors dogs. Logan prefers playing on the little jungle gym and watching air planes. Cooper just relaxes and Roxy chases balls. Andrew has been slowly progressing her back to her love of fetching and her new knee is working out nicely. Unfortunately, we won't let her get as crazy as she used to. We can only fix one knee and statistics show that a dog with blown cruciate has much higher chances of tearing the other side. We're hoping that will not be the case. We're letting her play but keeping her reigns on. Also, her cruciate that was blown was in the same knee that had a subluxating patella at one point so we're hoping that was the major factor. OK, saying hoping meaning the other knee is "healthy" and stays in place so it should be stronger right??! That's the hope. Anyways, enough rambling.

Sleepy Bit...

Today was the first day that Logan and I did not run errands the entire time Aidan was at school. Yes, we ran errands however, had plenty of time to come home and watch the new Thomas DVD we picked up. Logan really likes sitting on the couches. He still has the knack for spontaneously falling off or running like a madman across the couch and stepping right off. ( No we do not encourage standing on the furniture...) Today he was pretty worn out from partying with Grandma and Grandpa. He just sat on the couch with a drink and watched the entire DVD. I sat with him for a while but had to grab a shot of our Little Bit lounging like a Big Boy.

"Look!!! Itsa PANK!"

Umm yes please excuse the tired looking lady in the second picture. The second coat of primer was recently put up. This time we were using the tinted primer in preparation for the cranberry paint. It's so Pepto-Lovely!! And yes it's "PANK" as Aidan likes to say.

The Newest Mr. and Mrs. Rogers

This weekend Andrew and Carrie travele to Maryland to celebrate Phil and Emily's marriage. The Boys stayed the weekend with Grandpa and Grandma and had a blast. Andrew was traveling this week for work and his flight on Thursday actually made it in early! So he got to see the Boys for about an hour before we dropped them off. We actually went out for dinner then headed home to finish picking up and packing the last few things. First thing Friday we woke up hit Starbucks and then the road. We realized that morning that our camera was in the diaper bag with the Boys at Carrie's Parents. So we made a stop to pick up a new one. We were hoping to get one for Christmas however, really wanted to take pictures while we were up there. We got in around lunchtime and laid down for a nap. It was then time to get ready for the Rehersal and Rehersal Dinner. The Rehersal Dinner was wonderful! It was at a little restaurant called Skipper's Pier. The room we had was full of big windows that were open and overlooking the docks. The rehersal ran late so we missed seeing the sunset which we heard was pretty awesome! We stuffed ourselves on all sorts of seafood and cake. :) We headed back and hit the sack. The next morning we took a walk around the Resort and it's Docks to check everything out. The weather was GORGEOUS!! There were ducks around the docks, we saw quite a few jelly fish and a pretty big sting ray! They had some pretty nice boats too. We hung out in our room and then it was time for us to get ready and Andrew to do his Groomsmen's Duties. They got married on the docks. It was fabulous and the weather could not have been better. We hoped to get more pictures but learning this new camera did not help out too much. We got a few good ones though. The next morning Mr. Rogers took us all to breakfast. It was a buffet. Yum! (Buffet + Pregnant Lady= Well Fed and Happy) We all then went our separate ways. What a beautiful weekend. We missed the Boys and couldn't wait to get back home to them.
The collage above includes the panorama view from our room, parts of the wedding rehearsal and Andrew driving us to MD.
Panorama of the view at the end of the docks, prepping for the wedding, two views of the docks, one little jelly fish and one sting ray.

Labor Day

Carrie's Parents invited all the kids over for a Labor Day Celebration. We brought dessert. Yes and of course Clutzy Carrie managed to dump dessert onto their front steps. Yup...we used the thirty second rule...only later to find that I missed picking one up and Logan found it smothered in ants. (Of course it was in plain sight...) Anyways, the Boys helped out "baking" the cupcakes. The kiddos ran a muck outside like normal. Andrew actually got a clip of all 5 of them at once! The last pictures are Logan enjoying the chocolate cream cheese frosting..luckily it was "frost you own cupcakes" so the frosting was not sacrificed in the fall. :-)

Logan and Daddy's Thing

Logan and Andrew have a thing they like to do...
