~~2 months old~~

My how the time has gone by...

Two months with Daniel already under out belts. I have to still agree with the first month post..it has been a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong but quick two months. Things most definitely seem to be looking up. He still doesn't sleep great however, it seems he has a difficult time getting comfortable. He spends a lot of time at night grunting, lifting his chin and swallowing hard all while grimacing. He does sleep peaceful but most of his time is pretty restless and noisy. He LOVES to smile and talk. He will coo on his own but really prefers to look at someone and talk to them. I am almost surprised (like I said last month) that he has this capability since he spent well over the first 8 weeks screaming almost constantly. He is finally starting to put some weight back on. He did really well and after 2.5 weeks he started to lose weight then the other week he started to pick back up. The past few days he is dwindling on eating not as much as the "average" baby should however enough to not completely concern us yet... The doctor was very happy to see him and said he is doing well. Right now they won't up his dose of reflux meds unless it seems he needs it (the dosage is based on weight). I am starting to wonder if some of the grunting might be signs we're heading that way. :-/ I really HATE that he is on meds but the poor kid needs something to alleviate his discomfort. So far all non-medicinal treatments have failed him. :-(

However, our sweet little boy has much more happy time and shows us his sweet little personality when he is awake. He is most definitely a new baby! Here's hoping the rest of the months keep looking up!!
