First Day of School

Wow! Another school year ready to start. Aidan has only asked me an average of 80,000 times a day for the last two months when he is going to school again. We finally made a calendar for him to mark each day off. Aidan enjoyed this and only asked about school 800 times a day. :) He was super excited to meet his teachers on Monday and to find out who would be in his class. As it turns out his school has MANY more three year old classes than two. His little class of 8 from last year is divided up between three classes of 12 or so. His class has 7 boys and 5 girls in it! Luckily he will see some of his friends from last year on the playground. It appears the majority of them went to three days a week this year too. We had a quick snap shot session prior to walking out the door this morning.
We tried to get a picture of all three. Andrew held on to Logan and Daniel until the camera was ready. This was our first and only shot. I thought we would be late if we tried for anymore. Definitely not an easy or successful task. :)
We had a minor meltdown when passing his classroom from last year. We thought this may arise as an issue. I had to pick him up and he held on for dear life. We walked down the hall pointed out the number of his new room, his hook for his bag and his little cubby. That got him to stand on his feet and check things out. He very soon went on into his new classroom and quickly found the easel. He loves to draw but it also was one of the least crowded activities at the time.
When you are a three year old you participate in afternoon carpool. This was his very first time doing carpool of any kind. I wanted to snap a picture while he was walking to the car with a teacher however, our camera was set to video. We opted for a picture once we had buckled him in his seat. We did not get too much out of him. We keep waiting for him to tell us about his day. I guess we'll find the details out of the first day in a few weeks. :) He is more apt to tell his Grandparents what he did than us. The more we ask the less information we get. Crazy, he's only three not 15....really don't want to see what getting information out of him at 15 is like any time soon. Hehe. He is super excited to go back for his second day and to try morning carpool for the first time.
