Today my Mom came over to tame the kiddo's so we could get some work done on Aidan's furniture along with some reorganizing/purging in our room to help make room for the wild amount of crap we have to relocate. We REALLY are trying to simplify things and get rid of unnecessary items. We have our home splitting at the seems and one room is currently vacant and filled with tons of CRAP. There is no other word for it but crap so we need to remove over a person's worth of worthless junk so we can add another life in our home. In the mean time we came across a glow stick that we were given I don't know how many years ago. Really?! OK, well the Boy's had fun with it but in the meantime it was been collected dust and taking up space. Yes, I understand it is a small item but when you have a gazillon small random items like that they tend to take up space and now we have to exert our energy in removing them from our home.
I was on an adrenaline rush scrubbing stains out of the carpets and cleaning floors so Andrew took the Boys up for bath. The glow stick was the item that pushed them to head upstairs. They ran around upstairs with it. They turned all the lights off and had a blast. Aidan was not wanting to get a bath because that meant to him no more glow stick. Andrew came up with the idea of a "green light bubble bath." He turned all the lights off and the Boys got into a bubble bath with the glow stick. They had a blast. The video we have included is of them running around upstairs. It's a pretty good spin on the same ol' bath time.
