Quick Tid Bit Update

Roxy Bear got her staples removed and I placed a call to her Ortho to get a little more clarification on her rehab. Turns out most dogs take 4 weeks to get to where our machine is. She's crazy I tell ya'! (Which is why she is in this position in the first place..well that and her knees/hips/elbows are in horrible condition due to just being made goofy.)
Second, BIG NOTE of the day. Headed to the grocery store and see the OB called my cell at some point and left a message. Well, I knew what it was about. It was about my blood draw on Thursday. So, I check the message...turns out this blood test they couldn't even get a concentration level due to it being SO LOW!!! (Wipes Brow) The nurse said, this is fantastic but please call if you have any questions. QUESTIONS??! Why would I question it?! I can only assume power of prayer, but then my skeptic side slips through and says, "OK, so it's good now, is it going to spike next month?" Right now I am going to tell that side to shut it's trap and float on cloud nine.
I hung up and called Andrew right away. After I hung up with him I called my Mom. Had to share it on here too for those of you not so near us. We're heading to the beach next week so hopefully we can get a good relaxing much needed vacation. Now, only to get the house back under control so we can come home to a nice clean organized house. (Back in the day this was a definite possibility...this day and time..it's more just hope, but REALLY hoping that I can get it in order.) I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and the nausea is fading, just so long I don't cough hard or get to hungry or I hope Aidan picks the potty seat vs. the little potty. Those things get me gagging in a heart beat. I am still tired, but feeling a little better if I can get about 10-12 hours of sleep a night. (That doesn't happen.) I am hungry all the time but the heartburn/reflux is not bad but definitely noticeable. (Already?!?!) So it's hard to get full because the overflowing feeling is easy to get and then the burning in my chest. At least it's not in my throat yet and not to horrible to sleep. (It got really bad with Aidan...end result of that was overflowing when they laid me back to push him out. One of those details people leave out of their birth story. Let's hope this one doesn't turn out like that. Logan was so small he did not give me much reflux at all.)
Anywho...GOOD NEWS!! Now time to get things done so we can head to the beach and get some much needed family time and relaxation.

Slip and Slide Water Fun for Grandpa's Birthday

Today we finally celebrated Carrie's Dad's Birthday. It was on Flag Day.
Grandpa and Grandma decided since it was so stinking hot they would get a wading pool and slip and slide to keep the kids happy. Of course they love to play outside but how do you keep them from keeling over in triple digit heat and the wonderful NC humidity?! Water of course!!
The kids had a blast. They all did so well playing together and making it look like managed chaos! Everyone had fun sliding. Logan our little dare devil was eating it up! The first time he walked on the slip and slide and busted he was not so happy. The kids preferred being launched by their Dads instead of the running and jump/sliding onto the slip and slide. We got a lot of short videos of the fun. We also have a slide show of some still shots of them all. After playing we went in for dinner and cupcakes. They played more. (Sorry no pics Carrie was inside with Logan trying to see if he would nap. OK, well Papa was trying to make him nap. Papa has that kind of magic. But Logan resisted.) Then it was time for presents and to head home. The kids were royally ticked off that we all had to go home. Aidan and Logan were out like lights before we got home. Mel said Tabitha was the same. We took the boys crusty sweaty rears and put them to bed. They were so tired that was all they wanted. Well, the did not really wake up so we did not want to plop them in the tub. So, 7:30 at night...boys were down. (I think that was first around here.) We have a few pics of the blowing of the birthday candles however, Aidan was not going to join in he preferred sitting off to the side and helping from a distance. Logan was too busy to slow down for that kind of thing. (As always, he is on the move and into EVERYTHING!!)

Nap?! I don't need no stinkin' nap...

That is EXACTLY what Logan was thinking today. We got some new tires on the truck in preparation for our vacation coming up. Logan fell asleep on the 10 minute trip there and proceeded to nap for the next 45 minutes to an hour. He woke up to find we were sitting in a restaurant. Once we got home I got Aidan to nap and let Logan roam around. He needed a little bit more food since he can be a picky eater. His favorite lunch is cheese and fruit. After he got a bit more nourishment it was time to lay him down. He kept rubbing his head on his Dog and on the floor. He let me snuggle him while he sucked away on his Dog too! I laid him down in the crib..and hour later..he was still jabbering, sucking, kicking, rolling, quiet..repeat actions. It was time to wake Aidan up and start the dinner prep work. Logan was fussy needed snuggles and kisses. I tried to lay him down again and he screamed. So....back downstairs we went. I got dinner done quickly and told Andrew it would be getting hairy soon. Hairy wasn't exactly the word for tonight. See for yourselves..
Yup...That's what you get when you boycott naptime. Here's a short video clip Andrew got too.

Got Puffs??!

This morning Andrew stayed home since we had an earlier OB appointment. We had bacon and blueberry pancakes for breakfast. Logan was getting pretty hungry so we had to pop him in his high chair before we were ready to eat. We gave him a few puffs (a cereal type puff that dissolves easily in mouths). While we were busy with cooking breakfast Aidan decided he wanted some puffs. Go Carrie for leaving them on the table. Typical Aidan maneuver he takes things into his own hands. We turn around and he has "shared" the entire container of puffs with Logan (Carrie just bought this one the day before). Instead of cleaning it up right away we had to take a video clip. Then of course we put them all back in the container. GUESTS BEWARE: All of our cereals or snacks that are at Aidan's height int he pantry usually are the same condition. We do try and make sure the food we give others is not repackaged but sometimes he is too quick for us. :-)

Update

This past week has been a super busy one. Oh wait, every week is super busy. Never enough time in the day or hours to sleep at night.
Aidan's potty training is going very well. We have made it 48 hours with no accidents. Our longest stretch but then we get comfortable and he has an accident. I am noticing when he is tired he refuses to comply and almost purposefully has an accident. Overall, it has gone better than I expected and we have successfully had #2's on the potty multiple days in a row. Now today while we were at the OB he gave Nana a gift in his underpants. Aww nuts. He gets a little too comfortable wearing underpants.
Roxy gets her staples removed on Monday. She has done a fantastic job. She is using her leg so well. We still have a long way to go but we are thoroughly impressed. She is not impressed that she has to be in the kennel and let out only on a leash. We have needed to sedate her to keep her calm. She thinks she is feeling good and pulls out her crazy eyes and we have to tell her to stop. Sometimes she just won't stop so she gets the goofy pills to keep her calm so she can heal.
The boys got hair cuts yesterday. They did a super job!! Aidan stayed dry the entire time we were gone and pee'd on the potty when we got home. Logan is such a go with the flow guy. He really doesn't care where he is, he just has a good time. Aidan did the best yet by far without minimal freak out over a hair cut. He's not a big fan of strangers and especially when they are touching his face, hair and putting scissors near his face. (When I think about it, I don't blame him.) He did a fantastic job and relaxed enough to make some faces at himself in the mirror while getting his hair cut. Logan got his first sucker too. It helped keep his hands busy so he would stop trying to touch the scissors. Nana came to help us. I was REALLY grateful she came.
Today Andrew and I headed to the OB for our regular check up. We were scheduled with the OB that delivered both boys. We really REALLY like him. He did explain that they do like to keep us "happy and dumb" about things (ie: my anti-c anitbody floating around my blood). We said we appreciate it. No need to panic when right now there is no reason to. We just prefer to be informed enough to understand what is going on but the nitty gritty can wait right now until we need to know it. His is more relaxed than the Dr. we saw last time. The other Dr. has a more scientific approach and was most perplexed that I had never had a blood transfusion and still have anti-c. Dr. H said that I very well could have gotten it from Aidan or Logan. He said he could make a call to see if the Blood Bank (where we donated the boys cord blood) would have that specific of typing on it. Not that it changes anything but just if we want to know. As he said it I am "barely positive" for anti-c. Meaning that it is the lowest concentration possible. I like his approach a bit better. We were able to hear Baby's heart beat via doppler. The Little Booger is hiding in there and he had to really manipulate and press the doppler on me to get it. I just figured that is the way this Baby. Not surprised and wasn't worried when it took a minute or so to get it. We found Baby's heart to be beating at a wonderful 145 bpm. Nice and healthy. We had another blood draw and will hear the results from probably next week. We are scheduled to head back July 22 and that will be the ultrasound. They will check to make sure Baby is growing well and that all their organs are developing properly. We also will be able to find out who is in there if Baby will cooperate. Time for us to start cracking on name selection...

Budding Artist

Aidan always has his hands on everything. You cannot keep anything out of his reach. However, while the chaos is going we put down the camera and of course he can reach it. Here are todays latest decent photos on the camera. He just reassured me that we need to use his self portrait. :-) Silly Little Man.

Fresh Beat Aidan

On Nickelodeon there is a show called, "The Fresh Beat Band." It is a show about a band of 4 (2 guys, 2 girls) they sing vibrant sounding songs, do more hip hop type dancing and wear very colorful outfits. Aidan LOVES them. There are pretty caliber with "The Wiggles." I mean in the way that you wake up at 2am and have their songs rampaging your head. Yeah, that kind of music. Well, Aidan's singing has progressed from inaudible words and clapping to actual words, clapping, some dances moves and jumping. Now some of his words are slurred, you know just like what we do when we forget or don't know all the words to a song. :-) Today after dinner he was sporting his Fresh Beat tunes and drumming on the drum. We are sitting on an air mattress...
