Grandpa and Grandma decided since it was so stinking hot they would get a wading pool and slip and slide to keep the kids happy. Of course they love to play outside but how do you keep them from keeling over in triple digit heat and the wonderful NC humidity?! Water of course!!
The kids had a blast. They all did so well playing together and making it look like managed chaos! Everyone had fun sliding. Logan our little dare devil was eating it up! The first time he walked on the slip and slide and busted he was not so happy. The kids preferred being launched by their Dads instead of the running and jump/sliding onto the slip and slide. We got a lot of short videos of the fun. We also have a slide show of some still shots of them all. After playing we went in for dinner and cupcakes. They played more. (Sorry no pics Carrie was inside with Logan trying to see if he would nap. OK, well Papa was trying to make him nap. Papa has that kind of magic. But Logan resisted.) Then it was time for presents and to head home. The kids were royally ticked off that we all had to go home. Aidan and Logan were out like lights before we got home. Mel said Tabitha was the same. We took the boys crusty sweaty rears and put them to bed. They were so tired that was all they wanted. Well, the did not really wake up so we did not want to plop them in the tub. So, 7:30 at night...boys were down. (I think that was first around here.) We have a few pics of the blowing of the birthday candles however, Aidan was not going to join in he preferred sitting off to the side and helping from a distance. Logan was too busy to slow down for that kind of thing. (As always, he is on the move and into EVERYTHING!!)
